Beware of Google Disavow Links Tool

Google recently launches its new Disavow Links Tool!

It lets you inform Google, which backlinks you want Google to ignore. There are people who built unnatural backlinks for their websites, or the ones who had been caught up in a linkspam.

Google usually reports certain webmasters if their site has unnatural or spam backlinks or when they find evidence of paid links, link exchanges & other link schemes. This tool is specially for them, to clean up all unwanted links.

You can find the tool here if you're linked to Google account.

Beware of this tool as this may effect your site, if you mistakenly remove backlinks which gave you good link juice!

Here's what Matt Cut says:

The vast, vast majority of sites do not need to use this tool in any way. If you’re not sure what the tool does or whether you need to use it, you probably shouldn’t use it.
