Control your Facebook Negative Comments in less than 100 seconds

Note: This trick is only relevant for pages with less number of followers & low engagement. To handle pages with huge fan following & engagement a paid listening tool is the best approach.

It’s always a daunting task for the admin to check each negative comment on Facebook individually, unless you don’t have an ORM listening tool (paid, obviously). Though there are some free tools still available online, you will waste most of the time reading & replying to the comments & to make things worse you might miss or delay to reply some comments in the process.

I came across this solution for one of my Business pages, where the post engagement level was low & fan following was also less. The trick here is to hide all the comments (positive, negative & neutral) posted by your fans by blocking some keywords.

Step 1:
Go to “Settings” at the top of your page

From General, click “Page Moderation”

Copy & Paste all the keywords from below link inside the box:

Click “Save Changes”

Step 2:
Go to “Settings” at the top of your page
From General, click “Profanity”
Select “Strong”

Click “Save Changes”

Here you go, you’ve successfully blocked 99% of the comments on your Facebook page.
Only the person who has commented will be able to see his own comments, rest, it’s hidden from the page.

If you find any positive or neutral comments in the process, simple click “Unhide” button below the comment. It will be published on your page.
